This position is responsible for reviewing CAD/CAM data to ensure accurate manufacturing of bare printed circuit boards that meet manufacturing and customer specifications.

Have a working knowledge of CAD software, but new to the electronics industry – No problem – MCL offers a 1-year training opportunity to provide you the necessary knowledge to be successful!

Job Summary:

This is a full-time position that focuses on reviewing CAM data and customer PCB files to ensure timely and quality manufacturing. The printed circuit board sector is part of the electronics industry which is the largest industry in the world! Working in this dynamic industry is challenging as we are constantly pushing the envelope on technology, designs, and materials, but it is also rewarding and very interesting. All our PCBs are custom manufactured, so each design and specs are unique to our customers and their products. We supply PCBs for medical, aerospace, energy, industrial/commercial, automotive, test and measurement and many other industries! If you like electronics – this is a great opportunity for you!

In order to be successful in this position, a person must have excellent time management skills, attention to detail and the ability to problem solve/critical thinking. A good, working knowledge of CAD/CAM software is helpful, but not necessary, as we will train the right individual.

Description of Duties:

  1. Reviews and analyzes PCB designs, files, fab notes and specifications to verify manufacturability and resolve any engineering questions.
  2. Identifies any issues with design for manufacturability.
  3. Communicates with customers, when necessary, to resolve discrepancies to ensure timely and accurate manufacturing of product.
  4. Maintains accurate spreadsheet tracking progress of all orders still under file review and engineering stage.
  5. Sends production files to customers for approval prior to production, when necessary.
  6. Processes SMT stencil orders, reviewing checkplots for approval and releasing stencil orders.
  7. Calculates panel array for products, if required.
  8. Maintains and references information for each customer’s preference for orders.

Job Qualifications:

  • Education and experience: High School Diploma/GED and at least a year of CAD experience.
  • Strong computer skills including proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • Experience using CAD/CAM software a plus

Physical Requirements:

  • Sit, use hands, and talk and hear regularly.

Position Type:

Full-time, exempt position located in Harrisburg, PA.

Compensation:

Salary to start at $55,000 – $57,000 or higher based on knowledge of printed circuit boards.
