The Engineering Specialist is responsible for responding to all engineering questions, processing and tracking all stencil orders and providing technical and operational assistance to other team members by performing the following duties.

Essential Functions & Responsibilities
- Researches engineering questions and responds to vendor questions daily, including weekends for urgent quick turns.
- Communicates and follows-up with customers, when necessary, to resolve discrepancies raised in engineering questions daily, via phone call and email.
- Promotes MCL products and services while communicating with customers and potential customers via phone calls and emails.
- Responds to technical questions from team members, customers, and potential customers.
- Identifies opportunities to increase sales with customers.
- Maintains accurate spreadsheet tracking progress of all engineering questions and updates daily.
- Sends production files to customers for approval before production.
- Confers with customers directly regarding array layout.
- Confers with customer directly regarding stackup conflicts.
- Confers with customer directly regarding file or design discrepancies.
- Creates and adds all appropriate production files to MCL files.
- Applies technical knowledge to compare existing product files to new files in design for manufacturing software.
- Completes order form for all stencil orders.
- Places stencil order with vendor and reviews all checkplots for approval.
- Creates packing slip for stencil orders once the order has been approved.
- Sends an email to the vendor with the packing slip and checkplots attached for production.
- Creates and adds all appropriate stencil information to MCL files.
- Tracks stencil releases, dates, and makes necessary notations in work-in-process.
- References information for each customer’s preference for orders.
- Answers technical assembly inquiries and questions about assembly quality issues.
- Performs other related job duties as required.
Non-essential Functions & Responsibilities
- Scrubs repeat and new PCB and assembly orders as needed.
- Quotes new and repeat PCB and assembly RFQs as needed.
- Places new and repeat PCB and assembly orders as needed.
Supervisory Responsibilities

Education & Experience Requirements
The minimum level of education and/or experience required to satisfactorily perform this position is an Associate’s Degree and/or 3 or more years of related experience.
