    Summary

    Responsible for overseeing all quality concerns and defects. Provide technical support and address in a timely manner that is consistent with company policies and procedures as well as industry standards by performing the following duties.

    Essential Functions & Responsibilities

    • Ensure team members are working efficiently and productively in their daily tasks and regularly spot checks subordinates work to ensure both quality, accuracy, and good judgement and decision-making in the regular scope of their job duties.
    • Provides team members with guidance in handling difficult or complex problems in both the regular scope of their work and unique situations.
    • Shall be responsible for onboarding and management of MCL PCB suppliers.
    • Analyzes, investigates, and resolves all quality issues and product defect concerns diligently collaborating with customers and vendors to come to an acceptable resolution.
    • Conceives and delivers results for projects in the quality and supplier management area.
    • Suggests policy and procedure creation and updates within program area to President.
    • Generates and/or approves corrective action reports and sends them to customers.
    • Ensure that quality issues are resolved in an expedient manner and communicate with customers and partners on the resolution of such concerns.
    • Directly supervise quality team members to ensure timely and accurate information is supplied to vendors and potential customers regarding any quality concerns.
    • Communicates with customers proactively for escalated issues and concerns or to answer in-depth technical questions.
    • Trains new team members and monitors performance and provides regular informal and formal feedback.
    • Measures supplier performance by analyzing performance data, activities, and other metrics.
    • Oversee Quality team members to ensure each is reaching goals set by departmental and company leadership.
    • Creates and implements the organization’s quality policies and procedures to ensure quality standards are consistently met.
    • Promotes MCL products and services to customers while communicating with customers and potential customers via phone calls and emails.
    • Evaluates production operations from a strategic level to ensure that vendors are meeting customer, industry, and quality specifications and standards as well as deliveries time frames.
    • Creates, maintains, and reviews quality control documentation such as guides, policies, procedures, checklists, and other documentation for effectiveness, accuracy, and relevance.
    • Responds to quality questions from team members, customers, and potential customers.
    • Engages in regular program are mini meetings with teams.
    • Ensures MCL follows ISO certification standards and prepares organization for yearly audit by having the correct and appropriate documentation prepared.
    • Interprets and communicates work procedures and company policies to team.
    • Maintains AVL and Vendor IQ documents.
    • Increases technical knowledge continuously through professional development endeavors, webinars, technical programs, and other avenues.
    • Assists Human Resources in the hiring, onboarding, and training processes and with disciplinary actions, when necessary.
    • Assists Human Resources with team member training programs.
    • Attends industry training, webinars, and trade shows.
    • Visits vendors and customers as needed.
    • Shall take lead role for all MCL audits, including but not limited to Supplier, Customer, Certification programs.
    • Maintains knowledge of customer specifics and preferences.
    • Maintains IPC specifications library.
    • Requests and maintain declaration and vendor certification letters on a yearly basis.
    • Performs other related job duties as required.

    Supervisory Responsibilities

    This position. Fulfills supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include planning, assigning, and directing work.

    • Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.

    Reasoning Ability

    To successfully accomplish the essential duties of this position, an individual must have extremely high reasoning ability.

    • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
    • Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.

    Computer Skills

    To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of word processing software, spreadsheet software, accounting software, internet software, email software, design for manufacturing software, and order processing systems.

    Education & Experience Requirements

    The minimum level of education and/or experience required to satisfactorily perform this position is an associate’s degree and/or 3 or more years of related experience.

    Equipment

    An individual in this position uses standard office equipment such as a multi-line telephone, computer, printer, calculator, server, and copy and fax machine.
